sabor a mi. . .

homesweethome. nice to be home. i think. feels like i've been gone forever. wow, this summer went by so fast.

well cancun was fun. every summer is so different. the summer we went to florida with roxanne, travis, renelle, tito rene and tita tessie was all disney stuff-- super fun. the year we went to hawaii was also w/ roxanne and the other cousin's. a lot of us went that year, and that was the relaxing year. the philadelphia/new york year was the educational year.. last year was colorado.. none of the cousins with us though. and that was fun too. but it would take forever to drive to all the places cause everything was so far from everthing else. since we had to sit in the car for long periods of time, i had a LOT of time to think. but this time, this year.. it was just us 4.. gosh, we've all grown up so much these past few years. roxanne can never go anywhere with us cause she works now. and we don't go to inang's every weekend anymore. this summer feels like a big blur.. all i can remember is school ending, then summer school.. then concert. now school is gonna start already. gosh. time either goes by so fast, or too slow.

anyway.. i don't even know what i was talking about anymore, and i really don't feel like reading that up there. so anyway. what i think i was trying to say was that it's so weird how much everything has changed. not that that's bad or anything.. just.. everytime we go on vacation my mind seems to think of home. which leads me to reevaluate everything that happened before we left. which then leads me to the past few years.. which then leads my on this whole mixed emotion state of mind. but then i feel all refreshed when we come back home. refreshment weeks! YES!.. xtal and churro, i always think of you guys when i think of that phrase. refreshment weeks are such wonderful things. =)

so shall i start on telling my story of the past week?.. i'm very tired, but i know if i don't do it now, i never will. so here goes.

friday:august 23 - the power of two

i really don't remember what happened up until about 6 oclock p.m... we went to the basil valdez & khu ledesma concert.those are filipino singers by the way. well it was supposed to start at 8.. but of course, it didn't start till around 8:30. on the way to the concert, i got a text from cat. awwww cat's so thoughtful. haha. telling me to have fun and things like that. anyway, after the concert.. we left for the airport. our flight was at 12:50.. early saturday morning.. so.. on to saturday.

saturday: august 24 - sleepy time

got on the plane.. i just thought of sept 11 right now. so weird, that didn't even cross my mind when i was on the plane.. i wasn't even scared. but now that i think of it. gosh.. i would have been so scared if i was on that plane. wow.
well i was reading *message in a bottle*... [[talking to des and trish right now.. just lost my train of thought AGAIN]]
so anyway.. our flight stopped over in dallas first. then we took another plane and finally got to CANCUN! it was SO HOT.. the thomas moore travel agency people took us to our hotel -- the royal mayan.. then someone took our bags and we went to our room. the time there is two hours ahead.. so after a while we went to sleep.

sunday: august 25 - i dislike mosquitos

went to the welcome party at the royal islander.. since there are the three royal hotels right next to each other, they have shuttle buses going back and forth between them. or you can just walk. we got there and it was SO FREAKIN HOT. well yeah that was fun, don't wanna go into too much detail. cause i'm lazy like that! =) after that, we went to the kukulcan plaza it's a mall.. and we went shopping!! yay! and after that.. we went to church. it was an open church thing.. there's a roof and altar and things but no walls so it's like outdoor. i got so many mosquito bites! i had like more than 10. seriously. i counted them. after that.. we went around downtown and went back 'home' aka the hotel. um.. and then we went to sleep? i can't think of anything else we did. ok. i think my dad was watching *crouching tiger hidden dragon* on one of the tvs.. they showed that movie EVERYDAY we were there on showtime.. my dad must have watched it three times and he already saw it before. haha.

monday: august 26 - shop till you drop

went shopping again. yay!
we went downtown too.. and this guy pulled me into his store. we were walking by and he goes "come look inside my store!.. it's air-conditioned!.." and i was like "no.. it's okay" cause my mom, dad, and claire were ahead of me. so he grabs my hand and says "you don't have to buy anything, just look" and i'm telling him that my mom is walking away so i start calling my mom to come get me. and the guy pulls me into the store and my mom too. haha, that was weird. oh and everyone wants to braid your hair for ten bucks.. or fifteen. this lady started feeling my hair and she said "fifteen dollars!.. i'll braid your hair!.. it's a good deal because you have a lot of hair" and she said it to claire too. that's how it was all over there. and we saw a monkey named coco. and took pictures with her. she's so cute! you just have to see the video.
oh, we ate at las carretas.this lady was talking to us and she told me i look like my dad. then the waiter came back and said that me and claire were his 'novias'.. haha. so the lady said "oh, do you like mexican guys?".. and i just shook my head and started laughing.
oh wait.. i think we ate there on sunday.. or maybe monday. i can't remember.
nevermind, i remember now. we ate there on sunday!.. cause on monday we went parasailing. ok good job laura.
on monday, we ate at captain's cove which was across the street from the hotels. we sat on one of the tables outside by the lagoon and saw their alligator named pancho. mmmm. i love shrimp.

tuesday: august 27 - isla mujeres

went to playa langosta to take a boat to isla mujeres. so pretty! once we got there we saw the dolphins. then we took another boat out and went snorkeling at like 10:30. the boat was called 3 de diciembre.that was fun. and claire kept kicking me with her fins. jeez. my parents weren't with us though. earlier in the day i took out my you-know-what.. and later i'll tell you what happened with that. we came back, and they took us all to downtown isla mujeres. then we went shopping there and ate just a little cause we were supposed to eat when we got back to the island. requested the song of the trip again. then waited with all our people for the boat to come back. then went back to isla and ate.. then after that, went back on the boat. on the way back to playa langostathey were making everyone drink tequila.. they had like three different people with bottles spraying it in people's mouths. the tour guide guy started off with the steve cause it was his birthday.. i remember his name cause we watched the video a million times, and cause he pronounced it "eh-steeb" haha. then they went around. we were sitting right behind steve.. and the guy started spraying it in my mom's mouth.. then he moved on to claire. and claire was like "no.. " and she was laughing, so her mouth was open, so he just started spraying it at her mouth. then i was laughing so hard, so he went to me.. and i was like "um.. no.. go away" but he already started spraying it all over my face and i started spitting it out. yeah. like i'm gonna drink in front of my parents. not that i drink in the first place. [[unless i'm influenced by my BAD cousins]] you know who you are you bad people. jp. and my dad was taping us so they skipped him. and he was all sad.. haha. but then they came back and the wind was blowing so it got all over the camera. oh well.after that.. they started dancing and everything. that was fun. then we got back to the hotel.. and THIS is where it gets bad.

in the morning, before we left, i took out my you-know-what. after we got to the hotel, i wanted to take a shower and put it back in.. but of COURSE i fell asleep on the couch. and when i woke up it was already 10.. so it had been out of my belly for more than 12 hours!.. NOOOOO.. yes. it closed. i was so mad, i didn't wanna give up. cause it was only halfway closed. i was about to just force it through. ewww. then i was so frustrated i just went to sleep. darn. well i decided i might as well get it done again with christine if she's gonna get hers again.. cause i already have the bars.. but then i don't know. we'll see.

wednedsay: august 28 - chichen itza

woke up and got ready. we were supposed to be downstairs at 6:50 a.m. i think. once we got down there, i saw the same family that i saw on the same boat with us when we went to isla mujeres. hmmm. but we weren't riding with them. they we going on a different tour, but to the same place. our big tour bus came.. and we all got on. and went to other hotels to pick up a bunch of people. it takes 4 hours to get there so we stopped on the way. saw a lady making tortillas and shopped. got to chichen itza.. we saw the place were they used to play that game. where they hit the back with their hips into the circle thing on the top of the wall. ok, i'll just skip to the best part. we climbed the pyramid. 91 steps up! we tried to hurry cause we had to be back on the bus soon. it was just me and claire. then we went back down. after us, my mom and dad went up and they took FOREVER. i was trying to tape them but i was laughing so hard that the video shakes so much. haha. after that, we went to the wrong exit.. thanks to someone!.. so we had to take a taxi around to the other place. and the guy charged us 50 pesos. then we got back on the bus and went home.

thursday: august 29 - xcaret

this time, we were supposed to go to royal islander to go on our tour bus. we were sitting there for a while, then guess who comes on the bus?.. the lady and her husband from yesterday. then after.. the three girls from yesterday. then after THEM.. the family from tuesday AND wednesday. ok, i hate to say it.. but i thought that guy was cute. and it was so weird. he was so skinny.. that's why i was like ehhh. anyway.. i know their last name!.. and i know where they were staying, gosh i'm such a stalker! ew. i hate that girly-ness you were talking about in your blog cheri. i know that.. and i do not like it. errrr. so anyway , you're supposed to stay with the people that you ride with the WHOLE day. cause it was a whole day tour. so that's just GREAT for me. the place was only 45 minutes away..and so pretty. first we went to the lockers to put our stuff away. then we took a tour around the whole place.. then she let us off on our own. ok.. do you REALLY wanna read me typing about HIM?.. no it's ok. so after, we ate at Dos Playas. and then we went swimming in the underground river. haha.. that was the funniest thing ever. at one part, the lifeguard popped his hand out from the side of the cave thing, and it freaked me out cause it came out of nowhere. but then my dad got tired so it was just me and claire by ourselves. so we were in one of the parts where it's really dark, and we hear this splash and claire goes "what was that??.." and we got all scared and started swimming really fast and then i got a cramp in my leg. owwww. then we got to the end and saw the flamingos. we went back to the lockers. and guess who i see? yes. him and his sister. then we changed and walked around. went back on the bus at around 5:30 for siesta then at around 7, we all went back to watch the show. that show was good.
after the show.. we were on our way back to the hotels. then i passed out on my bed. oh yeah.. by the way.. roxanne if you read this.. which you probably wont cause you never have anytime these days.. we always have a LOT of room now.. how come you guys don't come with us anymore?!... someone come!
oh yeah!.. i told my mom and dad about going to hawaii again next next summer. remember that trish?.. i keep telling everyone let's go. and since we have that timeshare thing. i was thinking that if we stayed at the same hotel.. we would have three rooms right?.. i think that's how many we had.. 17 people went.. when we went to hawaii. oooh.. let's go!!!!...

yep. that's what we did.gosh i'm so lazy now that i don't wanna type!.. i've been doing this entry for so long!.. after we got back to the hotel.. i finished packing up all my stuff. then went to sleep.

saturday: august 31 - back home!.. happy birthday uncle raymund!

left the hotel around 6:30 a.m. got to the airport. ate breakfast at hasta la vista. we bought these huge toblerone bars. yum. and other stuff too. our flight stopped in miami. our next flight wasn't for another 3 hours. since i finished *message in a bottle* i got *a bend in the road*.. ate at the fruit tree or something like that. then got on the plane. the flight home was 5 hours. tito vic picked us up and took us to tita ami's. everyone.. well not everyone but some of our relatives were there. singing karaoke. haha. then they made me sing a bunch of songs. i have to sing at this party thing in san francisco that were going to sometime this month. i got a voice message when i turned my phone on. and it was from cat. wow cat, you're the last and first one i talked to when i got back. not including family members. haha. then played with chloe and shea. we were there for a long time cause my uncle from texas was there. we ended up sleeping over.

sunday: september 1 - blah

woke up from the sound of.. "auntie laura!.. wake up! wake up!.." that was chloe.. then i hear "no!.. don't wake her up she's sleeping" too late. i'm already awake. then we ate and watched the videos. after, we wanted to go to the beach.. but we decided to go next week instead. cause roxanne is in san diego.. and jessica's family went camping this weekend. first we stopped at ate pauline's to get our stuff. she gave us chocolates cause she just came back from hawaii. and she's going again in december for a wedding.. lucky. she went with us when we went that one year. i wanna go!.. after that, we went home and i passed out on my bed. then i woke up and watched tv.. and now here i am!.. yes! i'm done.

you know what i got? my freakin rag. didn't i just have it though?.. oh well, at least i didn't get it in the beginning of our trip. that would have suuuuucked. what did you call it kkkeith?.. dirty.. something.. that's just wrong.
